Bottom of the Bowl Salad
. . . (stolen from Renee's private recipe collection)
Mix together on the bottom of a large salad bowl:
6 Tablespoons olive oil
2 Tablespoons white wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 clove garlic - pressed
Put these ingredients on top of the above dressing and don't mix!
4 heads of bib lettuce - torn
1 Tablespoon dry parsley
1 Tablespoon chives
1 teaspoon dill
1/2 teaspoon thyme
Cover and refrigerate. (not more than a couple hours or so)
Add avocado and toss before serving.
(I used 6 heads of bib lettuce the other night and 1 1/2'd the recipe. It made an enormous amount! I probably would have been fine with the above amounts for the 14 of us)
Renee - did I forget anything?
